UN consultation: children’s right to access to justice

The UN Committee on the Rights of the Child invites stakeholders and children to give their views on UN draft general comment No. 27 on children's rights to access to justice and to an effective remedy. 

The consultation closes on 30 June 2025. 

General comments give explanations on specific articles of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), to help countries put children’s rights into action. 

This general comment will provide guidance to countries so that they can understand what they have to do to protect and promote children's right to access to justice, and remind everyone how important it is. 

Input should provide concrete suggestions on the different paragraphs of the general comment document. 

Please note that the input can only be given in English, French or Spanish, so you may need to translate the supporting information, and the children's input before submission. Luckily, there are good machine translation tools to help do that easily!
