The Advisory Board met in Brussels on 30 November and 1 December 2024, and celebrated contributions from eight retiring child members, and welcomed eight new members.
Day one
The first day was spent with the children to prepare the Board meeting. The agenda, working methods and facilitation are all co-created with the children.
The day was important to onboard new child members and have some 'team-building' time for the existing and new members to get to know each other before the meeting.
Day two
Day two was the Board meeting, when children were joined by the adult board members. During the meeting, the Board:
Reviewed and discussed the Board's working methods and setup, which resulted in some suggestions, such as longer terms for child members, scoping alumni activities and more frequent exchanges between Board members
Reviewed, gave feedback and approved the 2025-2026 Work Plan
Held a certificate ceremony to thank the eight retiring child members, and also heard from some of the new members
