
The University of Barcelona IMCITIZEN project is holding a series of webinars from October 16-30 on "Children's Participation Platforms: Active Citizenship in Decision-Making."
The IMCITIZEN project, funded by the European Commission, is designed to help children aged 8 to 12 feel more connected and involved in their communities. The webinar series will feature children, educators, local officials, politicians, and international experts, all working together to boost children's participation in decision-making at a local, national, and EU level.
Webinar dates:
- October 16: Children's Rights and Participation: Diverse Perspectives Participants will share key lessons and changes achieved through children's involvement in decision-making within their community.
- October 23: Children Propose Ways to Boost Participation Members of Children’s Participation Platforms from ten Spanish schools will present their ideas to enhance children’s participation rights and their development in Municipal Strategic Plans.
- October 30: Lecture by Dr. Laura Lundy and Discussion Forum Dr. Lundy, an expert in children’s rights and participation, will discuss the challenges and opportunities for children's participation in Europe.
The webinars are open to people from different professional backgrounds, and the wider public. They can be accessed via Zoom and YouTube with translation to English and Spanish.
