Our 2025-2026 Work Plan is here! Like everything we do, the Work Plan is co-created with children, to make sure the Platform's work covers topics which matter to them.
Both adults and children of the Advisory Board and Children's Panel have been consulted since April, along with the children at our Create, Plan, Participate working meeting in June.
The topics were chosen because they match what children said was most important and what the European Commission is planning to work on in the next few years.
What we will work on in 2025-2026
- Equal opportunities and social inclusion: Looking at children’s access to good education, healthcare, and housing
- Mental health and well-being: How to help children feel happy and safe, both in real life and online
- Online safety: How to help protect children on the internet and help them understand their rights online
- Climate action: How to involve children more in protection of the environment and learning how to take care of the planet
We will work with and for children through these four areas of activity:
- Hearing from children: with EU-wide consultations on equal opportunities and social inclusion, and mental health and online safety
- Study visits: with member children on children's rights, and climate change and education
- Peer visits: with member children on online safety and digital rights, and mental health peer support
- Understandable policies: through easy-to-read child-friendly documents, co-created with member children
See the full Plan for more details on the activities and how children's input will be used in EU decision-making.
