The Advisory Board met in Brussels on 30 November and 1 December, and celebrated contributions from eight retiring child members, and welcomed eight new members.

The Democratic Activation of Youth (DAY) project in Naples, Italy, helps children and teenagers (aged 14-18) to have a say in what happens in their community.

The University of Barcelona IMCITIZEN project is holding a series of webinars from October 16-30 on "Children's Participation Platforms: Active Citizenship in Decision-Making."

The "Together" project is all about making sure children's rights are respected. It is important to let children be part of making big decisions. To do this, the project wants to help adults understand and respect children’s rights and make sure they can join in on important decisions.

The EU Children's Participation Platform held a first working meeting - Create, Plan, Participate - in Brussels on June 27-28, with 37 child members between the ages of 10-17.

Children of Prisoners Europe (COPE) launched a survey in February to gather ideas on how to make prisons feel welcoming when children visit their parents. The report from that survey is now available.

The 2024 European elections were an exciting time for everyone, including young people who were voting for the first time.

The EU wants to help everyone who takes care of children, like schools, governments, and groups in the community, to work together to protect all children from harm. The European Commission has announced an important recommendation to help everyone do this.

The Advisory Board met in April and reviewed how the Platform has worked until now and the direction for the next Work Plan. Child members participated in different workshops, and also met with the Commission's Vice-President Dubravka Šuica.
