The EU wants to help everyone who takes care of children, like schools, governments, and groups in the community, to work together to protect all children from harm. The European Commission has announced an important recommendation to help everyone do this.

The Advisory Board met in April and reviewed how the Platform has worked until now and the direction for the next Work Plan. Child members participated in different workshops, and also met with the Commission's Vice-President Dubravka Šuica.

Before the EU elections in 2024, over 9,000 children gave their opinions on the subjects that matter to them. An advisory board with 10 children from six European countries helped with the process and the 'The Europe We Want' reports.

The EU Children’s Participation Platform has launched its first Work Plan! The Plan sets out four topic areas we are working on together with children until October 2024.

On June 26-27, history was made at the European Commission. A first General Assembly co-created and co-chaired with children and teenagers to discuss and work on child participation at EU-level.
