It’s important that our communications meet the needs and expectations of children and teens, so they are both engaging and useful.
To help us in this work, we have a dedicated team of teenage Platform members from Ireland. They are the Communication Co-creation Team. Meet them and see their work!

Irish National Participation Office

"Representation for youth in the EU is crucial for us now and our futures." Charlie

"It is my honour to be championing child participation at EU level. We are working together to amplify young voices to co-create communications that inspire inclusion, empower participations and reflect the diversity of perspectives that are shaping the EU’s future." Erica

"I believe it's crucial to have spaces where our voices can be heard, as we are the politicians and voters of the future. I wish for all young people to be able to trust their institutions, and to know that change can be achieved." Ignacy

Interactive content formats
- Testing of animated webpages which can replace static content or pdfs
- Review of quiz displays to help decide which formats and stylings to use
- Test drive of an online game pack for schools
Input was used to make improvements in all the formats. The feedback was fed back to the graphics, content and technical teams.

Review of the website (January 2025)
- Well laid out and easy to use
- Most interesting: Children's Voices, kid's quotes, photos and videos
- Make the language simpler
- Simplify explanations about what the Platform is and does
- Get more EU language content online
Feedback went into the ongoing development of the website, and was shared with all the involved adults and teams.

Young Voices, Big Changes workshop
- Setup and facilitation of a workshop at the 2025 big meeting in Brussels
- Worked on the workshop name, format, categories, prizes and materials
- Designed the award certificates and ran the workshop
The workshop highlighted 17 child-led projects from member organisations in 11 EU countries. Presentations were given by the children themselves - aged 10-17.

Welcoming child members to the Platform
- Discussions on the experience of being a new member
- Which information would be useful to receive
- Which formats would be good
- Review of draft materials
Input was fed into a co-creation project to produce a great Welcome pack for new child members. Children from our Advisory Board and Children's Panel wee involved too.
