The Awards are held annually by the Clear Writing section of the Commission's communication directorate. Our Platform won a 2024 Special Achievement Award for promoting inclusive and accessible language for co-creation with children on the Feeling Safe consultation.
The work considered for the award included:
- the online survey co-created with child members of the Platform
- child-friendly versions of the consultation results
- the European Commission’s Recommendation on Integrated Child Protection Systems
- related website content.
Children’s views on what they need to feel safe helped shape the recommendation.
Thanks and appreciation go to all the people who worked on the Feeling Safe consultation, and the children from across Europe who took the time to participate in the consultation; online or in-person.
Special congratulations to our child members whose input and feedback on the survey, reports and website made this award a reality.
